Mid-Summer Check in!

Since my last post about trying something different for a couple of months, people have made some wonderful changes to their lives/schedules! It's been great hearing back from so many of you! Some of you picked up a new sport, some are learning art, some are focusing on some aspect of their nutrition. Fantastic!

So now that it's been a couple of months, how is that going? By now you might be waning in excitement. The outside heat & humidity can also add to losing motivation. Well, we can't control the weather but we can control how we react to it. We can shift again to something with an indoor option, or we can soak up the summer weather and just do things a little more slowly.

Some indoor options might be crafts like sewing, art, squash, racquetball, swimming, kickboxing, karate, gym workouts, home workout videos, cooking...

Some outdoor options might be swimming, easy trail runs, biking (create a breeze!), tennis, walking, golf...

I think it might be time for another change if you're feeling a bit lackluster. Notice I didn't mention sitting on a patio drinking with some friends. That's ok here and there but try not to make it your summer routine. Meet your friends for something active like a hike, run, golf etc.

For myself, my next few months are focused on both karate and running. Weights and biking are taking a smaller role in my schedule. I recently joined a local running club and that is MY different thing for the next little while. It's added excitement in my week and given me some new goals. Meeting new people is a nice bonus!

So what are you doing the rest of the summer?
